What it's for

Silence ≠ agreement.

You're presenting to a room of accountants - at a conference, on a webinar, on a video call. Most people won't raise a hand. Give them an anonymous way in, and the questions that matter actually surface.

Anonymous Q&A

Truly anonymous - no names, no logins - so people ask what they really want to, and the room upvotes what matters.

Live polls & ratings

Multiple choice and rating scales, tallied and shown on the screen as the answers land.

Stack ranking

The room drags options into a priority order, and you watch consensus form in real time.

Word clouds

The room's own language, sized by how often it is said. A read on the mood in seconds.

Instant session feedback

Close with a star rating plus what worked and what to improve - honest, anonymous, and collected the moment you wrap.

A look inside

What you build. What the room sees.

You drive everything from one screen. Your audience taps into a clean page on their own phone - no app, no account.

Free that doesn't run out

Free means free here.

Every other tool has a free tier too. This one removes all the paywalls.

Your whole firm, free

Add every colleague to build and run sessions. No per-seat pricing, no seat limits.

Bring in a helper

Invite someone - even outside your firm - to co-manage the room and triage questions while you present.

Presenter mode

Put live results on the big screen on stage, or drive quietly from your laptop. Your call.

No limits to hit

Other tools work great until the free tier runs out: attendee caps, locked exports, paywalled features. There's no wall here.

Slido and Poll Everywhere figures are from their own pricing pages (Slido Basic; Poll Everywhere Intro) and can change. The point isn't the exact number - it's that there's always a cap. Here there isn't.

Why it's free

Built by a community. Given to the profession.

ParticipationTown is made by AutomationTown, a community of accountants learning to build with AI - and given to the wider profession, completely free.

No ads. No upsell. We never sell your data or your audience's answers. Unlimited attendees, unlimited team, every feature - for as long as we run it.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Why is this free?

Honestly, it's a thank-you to the accounting community - and yes, a friendly link back to AutomationTown, where I spend some of my time. But mostly it's personal: for years I bounced between different tools for my own presentations, never quite finding one I liked, and I kept wishing something like this existed. The more interactive a session is, the more effective and memorable it is, so I built it - and I'd rather give it away than put it behind a paywall.

Is there a catch? Will it stay free?

No catch. Unlimited attendees, unlimited team members, every feature - free, and we never sell your data. It isn't a trial that expires or a free tier you outgrow.

Do my attendees need an account or an app?

No. They scan a QR code or open a link and they're in - anonymously, on their own phone. No sign-up, no download. Only you, the presenter, need an account.

Why do you ask for my LinkedIn?

Because it's free and out in the open, I keep an eye on it for abuse and want to keep it within the accounting community. Adding your LinkedIn before you go live is a quick, friendly way to confirm you're a real person in the industry - that's the only caveat to use this and your audience never sees it.

I'm not in accounting - can I still use it?

This is my gift to the accounting community, so for them it stays free. Outside the industry? If the other tools start charging a fortune the moment you have a big team, lots of attendees, and people to collaborate with beyond it, then sure - of course I'll take your money if you really, really want me to. It's $75/month USD for non-accounting folks, and there's deliberately no checkout button: reach out through the feedback form inside the app and I'll get you set up.

Where can I use it?

Anywhere you like. Pop the QR code on a slide or drop the join link in the chat, and people tap in from their own phones - in the room, on a webinar, or on a video call. It's a great fit anywhere you'd rather hear honest, anonymous input than watch the same few hands go up.

Can I request a feature?

Yes, please do. This gets better the more feedback I get. The whole point is to make presentations more interactive, collaborative, and human in a world where AI is taking over everything else. Need a feature built? Just ask.

Wake up your next meeting.

Unlimited attendees, unlimited team, every feature - free, from one corner of the accounting community to the rest of it. Need a feature built? Just ask.
